Snowed in Saturday!!

So, it's kind of cold and snowy outside.  And I have a test tomorrow.  So I've basically been in my pj's all day.  I don't figure you want a picture of me in my fleece robot pajama pants.  We'll skip today since I basically didn't get dressed!  OK, ok... here is a picture of one of the robots.

Awesome, right?!

So, I've been a tad reluctant to do this because it will show you just how out of hand I am with my clothes but I took some pictures of my closets.  Plural.  In this closet you'll find all the shirts I wear and fit into.

I've never counted my scarves but as you can see they are a thing with me.  When I started this challenge I went through my closet and put everything all my shirts in this one.  And all of skirts, pants and dresses in this one...

But wait...there's more!  In the bin pictured here, there are clothes that I am still a size or two away from fitting into.

Keep in mind that I used to have TEN of these bins full of clothes that didn't fit.  Granted that was almost a decade ago, but you can see that this shopping thing used to be a problem.  Buying clothes thinking that SOMEDAY I would fit into them and then I would be a better person.  Prettier, thinner, and therefore perceived as smarter, richer, more worthy.

I didn't mean to get all serious on you!  With this blog I plan to keep it light, but I think it's important for me to let you know that there is reasoning behind this challenge.  I'm not just trying to save money.  I'm also trying to accept myself and realize that things, specifically clothes aren't what make me "me".  Things don't make any of us better.  They distract us from living our real life.  Not the one we wish we are in or the one we are waiting on.  I'm looking forward to this year and not just because of the clothes!

Stay Houndy!!

Em
